Portraits of Grace: CEM Story (1 of 4)
“Portraits of Grace: CEM Story” follows the development of our Children’s Education Ministry at King’s Cross Church. As “kingdom minded, kingdom people,” we recognize God’s work in every aspect of our church. We invite you to witness God’s work in the children of our church.

“We started King’s Cross’ (KCC) first CEM class with less than five kids shortly after KCC was established. Initially, we were asking: “What can the families and children do during service? How can we serve them?” But shortly after, Peter introduced me to Lois (CPC Director), who shared the needs of Flushing children, their families, and her convicted heart to serve them. After our meeting, we were inspired to connect with these children and see where God led us. So we started our Summer Saturday Program in 2013, and God brought us over 60 kids and almost 40 volunteers to serve the children. It’s a true blessing that we got a glimpse of God’s work and the seeds planted in every child who attended. We have the privilege to share the good news and make an eternal difference in these children’s lives.” – Serena
